The Sweep: Advanced SAT Math

A 650 to 720 in math means a student already knows the material. The points they're still losing aren't concentrated in one weak area. They're scattered: a hard systems question here, an unfamiliar circle equation there, a function question that takes too long, a geometry problem with a twist they didn't see coming. Each one is a few points, and together they're the difference between a strong score and a top one.

The Sweep goes after every one of them. Over ten weeks, students work through every math topic on the Digital SAT at the medium-to-hard level, where students at this score range actually lose their points. There's no remedial review and no time spent on questions they already get right.

Every question in this course was written in-house by IES Test Prep. We have 25 years of experience running SAT courses and 17 SAT titles published on Amazon. Students won't see recycled practice-book problems or questions they've already worked through elsewhere. Every problem is original, built to match the hardest questions on the Digital SAT, and checked by our math team.

 

What students get

• Every topic, at the level that counts. Each lesson week covers three related topics, moving from linear equations and systems through quadratics, exponentials, and advanced functions to data, geometry, and trigonometry. By Week 9, students have worked through every category on the test, entirely at the medium and hard levels.

• Instruction built for strong students. Each class goes straight to how the harder questions in that week's topics are built, the traps that catch students who know the math, and the fastest reliable path to the answer.

• Timed opening drills. Each class opens with a timed set on that week's topics, so students apply the approach under test conditions right away.

• Spiraling closing drills. Each class closes with a timed set that cycles back through earlier topics, so every skill stays sharp through test day instead of fading once the class moves on.

• "Think outside the box" challenge problems. Every drill and test ends with problems that reward insight over routine. These are the unfamiliar-looking questions that separate a 720 from a 780, and each has an elegant solution once students learn to look for it.

• A diagnostic and a final test. Students take a 36-question diagnostic in Week 1 and a separate 36-question final in Week 10, each timed at 60 minutes. Together they show exactly which topics improved and where each student's remaining points are.

 

Who it's for

The Sweep is for students with an official SAT Math score of 650 to 720, or an IES diagnostic score in that range. These students have solid fundamentals but lose points across several topics. It's ideal for students ready to push toward 750 and beyond.
