Service Description

The 700 Wall: Advanced SAT Reading & Writing Sundays, 2–4 p.m. · January 3 – February 28, 2027 · 9 sessions 335 Main St, Metuchen Built for the March SAT. Many strong students reach a Reading and Writing score just below 700 and stall there. More practice doesn't move it, because the remaining points sit in a small set of question types where the right answer and the most tempting wrong answer are separated by a single, precise distinction. The 700 Wall teaches exactly those. Who it's for Students with an official SAT Reading and Writing score of 690 or higher, or 690+ on an IES diagnostic. Grammar and punctuation aren't covered: every minute goes to the reading, evidence and transitions questions where the last points are found. How it works • Before the term: a 42-question, one-hour Diagnostic sets a timed baseline across every question type in the course • Every session: a 15-question opening drill, more than an hour of instructor-led teaching on how the hardest versions of each question type are built, and a 20-question closing drill in vocabulary in context and transitions • Final session: a 42-question Final with all-new questions, showing exactly how far each student has moved What's included • Original drills and tests, written and reviewed by the IES English faculty • Online tests under strict timing, with extended time (1.5x) available. Let us know at registration. • All drills and tests delivered through Google Classroom Taught by IES co-owners Arianna and Khalid or by the IES teaching staff they trained, drawing on more than 25 years of running SAT courses.
